What Size Is 110 in Kids Clothes? EU cm Sizes to US

European children's clothing is sized by height in centimeters, not by age. That is the single biggest reason a "size 4" from a Dutch or Spanish label fits differently than a size 4T from an American store. The number on the tag, 110 or 120 or 130, is simply the height of the child the garment was cut for. This guide translates those numbers into US sizes and ages so you can order the right size the first time.

Quick orientation before the details. Sizes 50 to 92 cover babies from newborn to 24 months. Sizes 98 to 128 cover roughly ages 2 to 8. Anything above that belongs to older kids. We stock European brands from newborn to age 7, so most of this chart maps directly onto what you will find in the shop.

What does a size like 110 actually mean?

The number is the child's height in centimeters. A size 110 garment is cut for a child about 110 cm tall, which is roughly 43 inches. European labels step their sizes two ways. Some run 98, 104, 110, 116, 122, 128. Others use round numbers like 100, 110, 120, 130. Both systems mean the same thing, height, and both convert to US sizes the same way.

What size is 100 cm in US kids clothes?

Size 100 cm equals US 3T to 4T and usually fits 3 to 4 year olds, about 39 inches tall. It sits between the standard European steps of 98 and 104, so if a label only offers those two, take 98 for a child who just turned three and 104 for a child closer to four.

What size is 110 cm?

Size 110 converts to US size 5 and fits most 4 to 5 year olds, around 43 inches tall. This is the middle of our range, so a child in 110 has plenty to choose from in the girls and boys collections.

What size is 120 cm?

Size 120 converts to US 6 to 6X and fits most 6 to 7 year olds. 120 cm is about 47 inches. On labels that step 116 and 122, a child who measures 120 usually takes the 122 for room to grow.

What size is 130 cm?

Size 130 converts to US size 8 and usually fits 7 to 8 year olds, about 51 inches tall. Our shop runs newborn to age 7, so 130 sits right at the edge of our range. A tall seven year old can still wear it.

What size is 140 cm?

Size 140 converts to US size 10 and typically fits 9 to 10 year olds, about 55 inches. Most of what we stock runs newborn to 7 years, with a few skirts and outerwear pieces going bigger, but the logic is identical for any European label. The number on the tag is the height.

What size is 150 cm?

Size 150 lands at US size 12 and fits most 11 to 12 year olds, about 59 inches tall. Also outside what we stock, but the chart below covers it, and it works the same for every height-based label at every age.

2T and 4T in centimeters

Going the other direction. US 2T covers children about 86 to 92 cm tall, which matches European size 92. US 4T covers about 99 to 105 cm, which matches European size 104. Everything from newborn through 24 months lives in our baby collection, sized in months on the same height logic.

Three practical rules

First, measure height, not age. A tall two year old often wears 98, a petite three year old may still wear 92. Height wins every time. Stand your child against a wall, no shoes, and measure to the top of the head.

Second, when a child is between sizes, take the bigger one. European cuts run slimmer than most American brands, so the extra centimeters give room to grow without looking oversized. The exception is outerwear you need to fit this season, there the nearest size is usually right.

Third, ask us. Tell us the piece you are looking at plus your child's height and weight, and we will measure the actual garment before you order. Email capuletkids.usa@gmail.com. Our size guide is the quick reference if you just need the charts.

Shoes work on a different scale

Shoe sizes do not follow the height logic at all. European kids shoe sizes run from about 19 to 34, and EU 23 is roughly a US 7 for toddlers. That conversion has its own chart with fit notes in our European kids shoe sizes to US guide.

If the size still misses

You have 30 days from delivery to ask for a return: email us with the order number first, and if the return is accepted we send a prepaid label. The piece comes back unworn, with tags, in its packaging. The fastest exchange is a return plus a new order. Shipping is free on every order within the United States, from Brooklyn with USPS.
